The Holistic Work to Freedom
Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that transfers chi, or “life for energy,” to the energetic field and chakras. During a reiki session, the practitioner places their hands lightly above the client’s body to assist in directing energy and balance to the client’s energy fields. When our chakras are clogged with negative energy we cannot access our highest selves. This often manifests in how we interact with the world—physical, emotional and spiritual sickness.
Movement Medicine
Movement medicine is a form of gentle movement sequences and guided dance improvisations that encourages a somatic union of your emotional and physical realms. Practicing movement sequences that align, strengthen and warm the body from inside out will help release any undesiriable stored energy in the body.
Meditation
Meditation is how we receive messages from the universe! When quiet and tapped in, we hone our intuition and receive inspiration and creative intelligence. Mediation doesn’t have to look like Buddhists in a monastery. I believe any act of connecting to one’s awareness, being present in the moment and connecting to the universe is meditation.
Prayer
Don’t think kneeling in a a pew! Prayer is just how we communicate with the universe (think manifestation!). Anything spoken from the heart with sincerity and for the greater good is a prayer.
Breathwork
Pranayama is an ancient breathing technique that involves intentionally regulating the timing, duration and frequency of breaths. The goal of pranayama is to connect the mind and body. This work can be a powerful tool for healing and enhancing clarity and vitality, as well as managing anxiety, lowering blood pressure and improving sleep.
Inner Child Work
Inner child work is working to re-parent our needs that were not met as a child and heal attachment wounds. The work requires us to go inside ourselves and connect with our inner goodness and true self. We learn to love and accept all part of us that may have been rejected by our caregivers growing up. By looking within, we are able to examine our everyday coping behaviors and patterns, which leads us to make meaningful changes and fully accepting ourselves.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a modality of psychotherapy that focuses on changing thoughts and behaviors. We work to identify unhealthy thoughts, feeling and behaviors—in order to view them more clearly and respond in a more effective way. In CBT, we learn and practice techniques such as calming the nervous system, reality testing thoughts, identifying triggers and boundary setting.
Balancing Masculine and Feminine Energy
Masculine and feminine energy are universal polarities and exist within all people, regardless of gender. Misaligned masculine energy can manifest in anger, ego and resentment, while misaligned feminine energy leads to us losing our personal power. Healthy masculine energy is described by action, stability, logic, structure , planning, achieving and executing. Healthy feminine energy embodies receiving, intuition, creativity, nurturing . When these energies are balanced, we can act in flow with our intuition and with a greater sense harmony.
